In an unprecedented move away from my "normal" way of reporting our battles,I thought I would show some photo's before we fight this battle on Sunday.
Top photo is the scenario, and bottom is the initial lay-out of the troops,as the "boys" will see it on Sunday.
This is the "Crusader" right flank,facing........................
The Norman left flank!!!
The Normans debouching from the Castle-light troops to the right, heavies to the left!-the village is manned by peasants(very keen, but not very good!)
The "tail-end" of the Crusader column, formed and ready to fight!
A close-up of the Crusader right flank cavalry(they have a look of "El Cid" Spanish to me!)
I hope these photographs have whetted your appetite for Sunday's game.
Not coming to claymore ? :(

That looks fantastic, just the sort of set up I longed for as a youngster, castles and loads of knights.Pictures bring home just how big your gaming table is.
ReplyDeleteHi MIke,I just hope I never grow up!!What could be better than Knights and Castles?
DeleteWe play on a 10 by 6 foot table,so it gives a fair bit of room to manoeuvre-the rest of the "boys" want me to extend the table up to 12 feet!!!
