I am well-known for my "scavenging" activities in Charity shops and "cheapy" shops, looking for items that could be used on the wargaming table, and yesterday was no exception! Whilst looking for things to spend my Government Winter Fuel Allowance on,I chanced to be in a shop called Home Bargains in Byker, and spotted the following little "gem"...........................
Both Brian and I have 15mm ACW figures, and I thought that this train could be used in a few scenarios,so,even though it was at an exorbitant price, and it needed an AA battery(not supplied!) which meant extra expense,I delved into my allowance, and paid the £1.99p they were asking-when I have money I sometimes go completely BESERK!!
A couple of photo's to show the scale-not bad !!(the train I mean, not the figures!!)
A couple of coats of red paint, and it's ready to go..................
Assembled,and off track.
On track and numbered-I have actually had it running on the supplied track, and it's absolutely fabulous-now what can I spend my remaining £98.01p on??-gas and electricity I suppose!!
A Scenario based from the Brilliant Film the Horse Soldiers.Perhaps
ReplyDeleteBrian,it's a bloody train,not a horse!!
