Good News,Bad News!!

Good news is that no-one got hurt!!!-Bad news is that the "clubhouse"/garage is out of bounds for a while........................

The brown garage is mine!!-next door's fridge/freezer decided to catch fire in their garage, wrecking the entire garage and conservatory, and making my garage subject to assessment tomorrow!!!-my entire house stinks of smoke,as can be imagined, and part of my garage roof is burned too.

The boys from the fire brigade did a grand job,but not before they had to demolish part of her garage wall!!

Aftermath!!-so no games until we get it sorted!!

  3. Glad no injuries, and hopefully no troop casualties.
The Fire Brigade did a splendid job, have several mates, retired, from the Fire Service. My God, those chaps move quick! And lasses of course.
We don't realise until we need them just how important a job they do.

    1. Hi James-no casualties human or lead types!
Fire chaps were great, but a bit worried when I told them I had Butane gas heaters in the garage-they pulled them to safety though.

  4. It is scary that an appliance can just catch fire like that though. I suppose anything electrical has that potential

  5. I gather some fridges and freezers do not work very well if outside in a shed or garage.? If seems you need a particular specification for operation in low temperatures believe it cause confusion to the temperature sensors? But I'm no expert, may be worth following up tho.
We have a fridge freezer in one of our barns, and I know my brother was sold the item o n the basis it was designed to operate in cold temperature.

    2. Well am no expert, could be twaddle, but it made some sort of sense to an technology like meself! Lol.
The neighbours insurance is paying I guess, it was their blxxdy appliance.
Several people have said to me, are your figures books and so on jnsured? No they arent, makes me think perhaps they need cover. I don't have cover for furniture etc, only the property, the furniture etc would be improved by a fire I reckon.lol
