Seven Years War-Epic.

Paul planned this game last night,and he is nothing if not thorough in his approach...............

 This was just the "Umpire's" notes!!!

These were the notes given to both sides-Dave and I were the Hanoverian/Prussian commanders,whilst Brian,Malcom and Graham were the Austrians-plans were made,and off we went..................

These two shots show our left and centre regiments moving like well-oiled machines into their planned positions-now it has been my experience in wargaming that not many plans finish the way they were supposed to,but last night was an exception-everything worked out-hurrah!!-is Paul trying to hide???

The Austrian "team" looked bewildered,as Dave and I moved into position.Paul has stopped hiding now!

My Hanoverians are taking on Malcom's Austrians-this flank was hotly contested all game-cracking stuff!

Apart from Malcom,the Austrians are not moving-is this part of a cunning plan?-they are allowing us to manoeuver at will!!

After some very heavy fighting,Malcom's flank eventually collapsed,allowing my Dragoons to sweep his infantry off the field-in the centre,Dave has got his infantry brigades into position,and is about to attack Graham-Brian' meanwhile,still hasn't moved!!

Graham,about to be attacked on the flank and from the front! Brian could be about to move-is Paul trying to hide again??

Brian's flank has finally motivated itself into action,and is advancing onto Dave's imposing line,but will contact be made??

Volley fire rings out over the table as Dave and Brian have a go at each other-Dave won-and with the heavy cavalry  about to attack each other,a plaintiff cry was heard from the Austrian C in C...

"We've had enough"!!! and the game was ours-well done to Dave for a complete plan,but well done to us all-a great game.Roll on next week,possibly an Ancients game-Germans and Dacians against Romans.
