Seven Years War figures
These Austrian dragoons have been waiting for a while to get a coat of paint or two
These figures are Saxon Karabiniergarde who fought with the Austrians during the war
We are a group of like minded enthusiasts who shun formulae wargaming with rules and regulations without knowledge. Our philosophy is one of " if it happened in history it must be able to be replicated on our games".... oh dear sounds pompous, it's simple really old fashioned and enjoyable without long charts and section N para Y allows me to jump your wall by 6 mm ha ha.
Very tastey!!!cannot beat a colourful army.Nice paintwork.
ReplyDeleteForgot to ask, how many men in your units? I have 12 men in a sort of squadron of cavalry, and 32 to 36 figs.in an infantry btn.
ReplyDelete24 figures per battalion and 6 for a cavalry squadron
ReplyDeleteWe used to use 12 fig cavalry units but progressed to the smaller number
It gives more flexibility and units of course
Now that front rank are operating again I have Prussians on order
Collecting those at york
Thank you for reply, I agree with your units, I think 6s,12s,24s and so on are the best. Decimal units never seem quite......well British lol
ReplyDeleteWe have 4 infantry on a base.. 6 bases to a battalion and they form square..column of companies and line perfectly well.. cant do that with decimals
ReplyDeletePaul,bloody marvellous-keep going!
