On Saturday 17th September we put on a demo game based on the early war in the desert 1940.
Our game attracted alot of attention due to the diligent preparation and figures, tanks etc from Dave and Paul-well done lads.We were greeted by a member of BR club and were given the best of attention throughout the day-many thanks for that! A "Burger" van provided the food and drink for the day,as the usual cafe facilities weren't available-they did a sterling job and were kept busy all day.As WW2 is not my thing,I was able to look around the traders and games-everyone I spoke to said the day was good and profitable!!-there were games covering very diverse periods, from Sci-FI to WW1 aerial,Jacobite,Wild West, and WW2,Bronze age etc.-a big well done must go out to all who put on these game-without them there would be no show!!
A view down the hall from our table-the "foot-fall" seemed good,I didn't get any figures, but overall the attendance was good. Two shots of our game-British vs Italians, quite a few people said it was good to see a "different" side of WW2 as opposed to the usual European theatre of operations.-There's always a down side to shows of course...............................
He's like a boil-pops up when you're least expecting it!!!-he'll probably pop up at Battleground at Stockton on the 26th November-we'll be ready for him though!
I really should have taken more photo's,but I was too busy enjoying myself-perhaps Paul could post some more???
Great to spend time with you chaps. Until the next time! Cheers, Chris
