We are a group of like minded enthusiasts who shun formulae wargaming with rules and regulations without knowledge. Our philosophy is one of " if it happened in history it must be able to be replicated on our games".... oh dear sounds pompous, it's simple really old fashioned and enjoyable without long charts and section N para Y allows me to jump your wall by 6 mm ha ha.
Aren't women good "levellers?"-I spend hours making hexes,sticking trees onto them,flocking and "tufting" them,putting them onto my terrain boards,along with a couple of home made bridges,and some buildings-all to portray a realistic setting for a wargame-then along comes THE WIFE and casually remarks "It looks like Trumpton"-arrrrrrrgh!!!

Surely to me, having grown up on the slow but heady fare of Pippin Fort, Trumpton, Camberwick Green and Chigley, this ‘Trumpton’ comparison is both a good thing and a complement?
