Painting up-date,Russian etc. heavy cavalry.

I am now a third of the way through my 100 figures of Polish,Russian,Lithuanian etc. etc. heavy cavalry, who will eventually face my Mongol army, and of course,my Teutonic knights!!

Polish(bonny buggers!) and Russian heavies awaiting their friends!

Close-up of the Poles-colours and shield designs are my own!!

Close-up of "green" Russians-colours and shield designs are my own too!!

A nice long line(three units!) of knights, but what of their "friends"????????

Hot off the painting table!-my research has shown that the Russians enjoyed shiney and burnished armour-so look out for a few more units with bright silver and gold armour!
At the moment I am "knocking out" two units per week,so should have the whole lot finished by the end of the month.

    1. Hi Doug,I'm quite enjoying painting these Russian knights-I've got a couple of Osprey books, and the illustrations show loads of colour, shiney armour and colouful banners.
      thanks for comment,

    1. HI MIke(springinsfeld)-wait 'til you see the next set of "winged -helmed" chaps!!
I've really gone to town with the colours etc,and I'm sure when they're all finished I'll say the same as I always say-no more armies, ever again!!
